William Forsythe developed a system using the body as geometric points and planes that creates new possible shapes and trajectories for movement generation and a greater sense of spatail forms in space with the body. It’s an extensive system with several catagories and spoecific excersises- all great to experiment with and use with artists from any discipline.
For Example:
Point point line: imagining points and lines that corolate to joinmts and sections of the body
Imagining lines; creating a line between two points or body points
Extrusion: from body to floor- making planes
Matching: putting two lines together- rotate- take away
Folding: folding lines
Bridging: simple construction by matching points
Collapsing point: all the lines between points or joints in a static position
Dropping points: dropping to the floor or along floor
Complex movements: keeping lines in your mind- a feel for them in complex moving
See link for full system- and Forsythe himself is demonstrating.
